Ye Olde Woohoo!

Rejoicing is to be heard in the Landon house!

WERE GOING TO FLORIDA FOR LIKE THREE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoo! I shall sing unto the world! Three weeks off school and getting to see most of my relations on Mom's side of the family is no joke. Plus on the way there we will probably stop at a HUGE home school conference. Why does that make me so happy you ask? because at home school conferences almost every booth gives out FREE candy and pens and pencils. I'm planning to get a stock of candy that will last me several months. I dont think I'll be able to post while i'm there so this is also a kinda explanation of why I might not  post for a while. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I have half your candy Mr Giles?*

*see first post.

If you are one of the people that will be there and a crowd of wild people attack your booth and take all your candy I apologize before hand for their conduct. Please bring   lots  of candy.

Ye Olde Easter Smeagol

On Easter morning as everyone knows,
the sun shines bright and everything grows.

"The Easter Smeagol!" the hobbits all cry,
"The Easter Smeagol's coming is nigh!"

Now as much as those lines make me laugh, they have nothing to do with the real reason that we celebrate Easter. In our culture when we think of Easter usually we think of bunnys and chicks and  chocolate but do we think of the real "reason for the season"? Approximately 2000 years ago Jesus, God on earth, died so we can be free. Free from the sin that dooms us to eternal separation from God. Free from the sin that will leave us burning in a lake of fire, alone. The one person that never sinned. The perfect sacrifice, to make us, everyone in the whole wide world free. On Easter morning He rose from the dead proving God's power over death and saving us from eternal punishment. Now some people might think "well dying isn't too bad, He knew that he would be alive in a couple of days" but it was not any pow your gone kind of death. No it was a hours long, naked for all to see, hanging nailed by his hands and feet to a cross. A slow death by suffocation. He did all that so us filthy sinners could someday live with him in heaven instead of being thrown into hell where we All deserve to go. My prayer is that someday, someone will read this and open their heart to their maker. If you are curious to know more just read read the book of Luke in the Holy Bible. He is risen!

sorry to any charlie brown fans who think this post is mocking the Easter Beagle

Ye Olde lego boom and other interesting things

What could be more epic then the final battle for the One Ring! I can now tell you, the final battle out of legos! Any moment now the ring will be engulfed in fire! Then it's curtains for any orcs near mount doom. In my Lego fort there just happened to be a small volcano so I added this classic scene just  for the fun of it. :)
By the way I might start trying to use this blog as a outlet to sell things on and this is how it will work. I will post a thing about items i want to sell, then if you happen to like that item you click on a link i will provide and order it on my family's online store. happy shopping! (once I get those posted)

sorry i forgot what i was gonna say here and it's lunchtime so i don't have time to think something up

Ye Olde blown-up mother board

This puny human doesn't realize it but I did it BWAHAHAHA!!!!!
Alas, woe is me! the computer that is generally used to post these jewels of wisdom has been put out of commission by someone planting a big one on the motherboard!!!!!!! (robo rally joke) Actually no one was responsible for the computer blowing-up on us. It did it just because of the cheesy humor that I've been inserting into these posts :) Ya, so that's why I haven't posted in a while. (I'm using mom's laptop) Well, I  can' think of anything else to say so as the hobbits say "May the hair on your toes never fall out" and as a elven king once added to a certain beloved hobbit named Bilbo, "May your shadow never grow less or stealing would be to easy!"

sorry if any of you are not of the same opinion as me about the hobbit quote but I think it is a complement.

Ye Olde awsome music videos

I think we all know what my favorite book (and movie) is, but do we know what my favorite band is? That is the purpose of this post, to enlighten you on the virtues of the...... (drum roll here) PIANO GUYS! So here is a video of them playing Lord Of The Rings music!
The guy who plays cello is named Steve. For Christmas my little brother got a box of blocks that came with a man that had Steve's haircut. He was promptly dubbed Steve the Piano Guy and the smiley-faced cello that was in there was his cello. This next one is for Starwars fans.                             The one after that is for spy movie people. By the way for those of you that have watched Captain America the piano person's name is Schmidt
Last of all is just FUN!

.

thank you piano guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and sorry about any uneven spacing in the post I'm new to this adding videos thing.

Ye Olde never type with a little brother on your lap

Moms do amazing things, most of those amazing things I can't do. For a example mom sits typing away on her laptop with my baby brother on her lap and everything goes fine. I on the other hand pick him up to stop him crying (he seems to like me) and start typing this post. Lo and behold he starts slapping the keyboard as fast as his little hands can move. Amazing thing number two, cooking dinner for 10 kids most of which are bottomless pits. (yes me included in the bottomless pit thing) I on the other hand try to make "easy fudge" and end up with maraschino cherry ice cream (true story). My reasoning is that God made girls the housekeepers for a reason. Without them we'd still be stirring overly salted mushroom stew with a spear.
(I hate mushrooms even if I wish I was a hobbit)

Thank you Erin for swooping in and saving those apple pies yesterday

Ye Olde strange traditions connected with New Years Day

wilt under my stare and realize that I am the mascot for this blog and you aren't! (insert evil chuckles)

We humans are strange creatures... we have all these absurd traditions to do on all these different holidays (like eating black eyed peas at midnight on new years eve)  and so i have decided to compile a list of these strange traditions for new years:

#1 counting down from 10 seconds till midnight

#2 dropping a BIG apple in new york at midnight

#3 dropping a water melon at midnight

#4 eating black eyed peas at midnight

#5 making crazy resolutions for the new year
(I'm gonna convince mom to let me see all of lord of the rings before I turn 15)

etc..... etc..... etc..... etc ...... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

apologies to anyone who has a tradition that I forgot and mom if you read this I am begging you don't leave me in suspense any longer as to what epic things are in the rest of the lord of the rings movies!!!!!!!!
